Hongshuo Fan 范弘硕 is a Chinese cross-disciplinary composer, new media artist, and creative programmer who holds a PhD in Electroacoustic Composition from the University of Manchester. He has extensive experience in creating real-time interactive multimedia content, such as acoustic instruments, live electronics, generative visuals, light, and body movements. Hongshuo is particularly interested in the fusion of traditional culture and cutting-edge technology in the context of contemporary art. His portfolio encompasses a wide range of work including chamber music, live interactive electronics, installations, and audio-visual pieces. His current research interest is to explore new avenues in music and art, leveraging machine learning and AI to create innovative works.

In addition, Hongshuo has served as a teaching assistant for the Interactive Media Technologies and Composition courses and was the postgraduate technical leader on the MANTIS System at the University of Manchester, a 56-speaker cluster used for electroacoustic research and composition. He also served as faculty in the Electronic Music Department at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music and was a member of the Sichuan Key Laboratory of Digital Media Arts.
